WATCH DAY 1 HERE TO PLAN YOUR WEEK AHEAD

WELCOME
Why we're planning before creating

Before you choose a stock photo, open Canva, write a caption, or create anything, we're going to figure out what you're creating this week and why.

Content creation can feel overwhelming when you're trying to make every decision at once—what to talk about, what to promote, where to post, what the graphic should look like, what to write, and when everything needs to go out.

Today, we're separating the planning from the creating.

And we're not just planning social media posts. We're looking at your marketing as a whole—your emails, blog content, Pinterest, social media, promotions, and the other platforms you use to connect with your audience.

The goal isn't to create more content. It's to create a connected week of marketing where your content works together instead of every platform feeling like another thing you have to feed.

YOUR CONTENT PLANNING SYSTEM

If you're new to the She Bold Stock Content Planning System, don't worry you do not need to learn or complete the entire planner before starting this challenge.

For Day 1, we're keeping things simple. There are only three sections I want you to become familiar with:

STEP 1 Choose your main marketing goal

Before deciding what to create, ask yourself: What do I want my marketing to accomplish this week? Instead of starting with “What should I post?”, start with the bigger picture. Choose ONE main goal to give your content a clear direction and make it easier to decide what deserves your time this week.

Your goal might be to:

  • Grow your email list

  • Drive traffic to your website or blog

  • Promote a product, service, membership, or course

  • Nurture and educate your audience

  • Increase your visibility

  • Build authority in your industry

  • Increase engagement

  • Get consistent with your content again

STEP 2 Choose your primary call to action

Now that you know your goal, decide what ONE action you want your audience to take this week. Your goal is what you want to accomplish; your CTA is the action you're asking your audience to take to help you get there. You may use other CTAs throughout the week, but choosing one primary CTA keeps your marketing connected and intentional.

Your CTA might be to:

  • Download a freebie

  • Read a blog post

  • Join your email list

  • Shop a product

  • Purchase an offer

  • Book a call

  • Learn more about a service

  • Register for an event

  • Visit a specific page

STEP 3 — Choose the conversation you're having this week

Now decide what you're going to talk about this week. Choose one main content focus that connects what your audience needs with your goal and CTA. Think of it as your anchor topic—your content can branch into different ideas, but everything starts from one clear conversation.

Ask yourself:

  • What problem is my audience dealing with?

  • What do they need help understanding?

  • What question are they already asking?

  • What result are they trying to achieve?

  • What topic naturally connects to my CTA?

STEP 4 — Decide what you actually need to create

Now it's time to turn your content focus into the actual pieces of content you'll create this week. You don't need to be on every platform or create something brand new for each one. Choose the content that supports your goal, fits the platforms you actually use, and is realistic for the time you have.

Your content pieces might include:

  • Blog post

  • Email

  • Pinterest pins

  • Carousel

  • Reel or short-form video

  • Educational post

  • Promotional post

  • Podcast or YouTube video

Before adding something, ask:

  1. Does it support my goal?

  2. Does it make sense for this platform?

  3. Can I reuse something I already have?

  4. Do I realistically have time to create it?

STEP 5 — Give every piece of content a place

Now give each content piece a home on your calendar. Decide which platform it belongs on and what day you plan to publish it, keeping your actual schedule and available time in mind. Your plan should make your week feel more organized—not create an unrealistic schedule you can't keep up with.

Before finalizing your week, ask:

Does this week support my main goal?
Does my content feel connected?
Am I focusing on the platforms that matter to my business?
Is this realistic for the time I have?

If it already feels overwhelming, simplify it. Remove something, repurpose something, or move it to another week.
